Building AI Agents That Don't Suck On Our First Pop Up Live Stream

What happens when you build an AI agent from scratch on a live stream? A lot of debugging, some valuable discoveries, and the kind of unfiltered process you'll never see in a polished tutorial.

On July 2nd, we tried something different. Instead of another theoretical walkthrough, Jordan went live to build a complete AI agent system, mistakes, European plague coughs, and all. It was messy, but we figured out some useful patterns you can probably steal.

The Challenge: Moving Beyond Basic Lead Lists

Most lead generation gives you surface-level data. Company names, basic contact info, a job title if you're lucky. We wanted to build something that validates whether companies are using specific technologies and identifies decision-makers with real context.

Spoiler: it mostly worked, with the usual amount of Clay-related suffering.
